The convention card does not seem to require a skip bid for weak 2 openers. Further, in a previous Bulletin it seems to me the conclusion was that either you use the skip bid all the time or not at all. I am in favor of the later.

I wish I had read this before my first-ever duplicate bridge session at the Bridge Club a couple of weeks ago! It would've alleviated a LOT of the initial stress over protocol, etc! Thank you, ACBL.
i intended to order 10 single brochures, but failed to notice that "one unit" equals a pack of 10!. So I received 10 packs of ten brochures, with FREE shipping! I will make good use of the extras, though, by distributing them to several new bridge groups that I know are forming around me right now. What a great deal.

In my experience, players who are coming to their first duplicate bridge game are most concerned about the use of the bidding boxes and maintaining the pre-dealt hands in the boards. If I were creating a brochure, I would describe and explain those two items first.
In general, the text was clear and pertinent. I liked the alert boxes and the messages they contained.
Thank you for providing this material.

This brochure is the best simple source for new bridge players visiting a club. It gives much needed information on the workings of bidding and playing. It is the best first time written brochure for explaining the workings of a duplicate bridge club.
