ACBL Intro to Bridge is a beginning bridge curriculum for in-person classes for new players. The design of the classes is based on ACBL Best Practices and provides students opportunities to collaborate, play, and learn by doing.
Based on Standard American, it starts with “52 cards in a deck.” Series 1 covers basic play and bidding with a focus on finding Game and the most commonly encountered hands. Series 2 introduces opening leads and frequently used conventions, culminating in a Pupil Game.
This course equips students with a simple framework for playing Bridge. It is intended to be a starting point from which to build and refine their understanding of the game.
Note: Each teacher accessing the course must have signed the Usage Agreement and have their own account on the Resource Center. Limited rights to use these materials have been granted under the terms of the Usage Agreement and are not transferable. You are NOT permitted to share any of the downloaded class files in any form, with the exception of the Student Manuals. This is an in-person curriculum. It is NOT for online classes.
